These Terms of Use apply to your use of Potoo.

License

Potoo is licensed, not sold, to you through the Apple App Store.

Unless a separate custom license is provided, your use of Potoo is also governed by Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement:

What Potoo Does

Potoo helps you compress photos on your iPhone to reduce file size.

The app may read photo metadata such as file size and resolution, generate compressed copies, and save results back to your photo library when you choose to do so.

Local Processing

Potoo is designed to process photos locally on your device. Your photos are not uploaded to our server.

You are responsible for choosing which photos to process and whether to keep or delete original photos after compression.

Photo Library Changes

Your photo library can be changed by iOS, iCloud, the Photos app, or other apps. Potoo displays photo information based on data available from Apple’s Photos APIs at the time of use.

In-App Purchases

Potoo may offer Potoo Pro as a one-time in-app purchase. Potoo Pro unlocks paid features such as unlimited compression or batch compression, depending on the version of the app.

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refunds, payment issues, Family Sharing behavior, taxes, and App Store purchase policies are handled by Apple according to the App Store terms.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse Potoo, attempt to interfere with its operation, reverse engineer the app except where allowed by law, or use the app in a way that violates applicable laws or the rights of others.

No Warranty

Potoo is provided “as is” and “as available.” We aim to make photo compression reliable, but we do not guarantee that every photo can be compressed, that every compressed result will be smaller, or that the app will be error-free.

You should keep backups of important photos.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, photos, profits, or business opportunities arising from your use of Potoo.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use when the app changes or when required by law. The latest version will be posted on this page.
